NFTMontage is a planned offshore business for artists who have Minted their artwork (created an NFT) and wish to explore licensing their art to NFTMontage.IO and partnering in their Investment and Royalty Programs once NFTMontgage is appproved by the appropriate regulatory agencies to conduct this type of business (pending). NFTMonage.io is planned to be hosted on computers located on an Island in the British Indian Ocean Territory. NFTMontage.io is to be a gateway/platform for Artists to access third party IT professionals to produce (Mint) their art NFT's and license their NFT's to NFTMontage.io subject to Royalty Stream terms and conditions.

Why did NftMontage pick an .IO domain extension?

The ".io" domain is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the British Indian Ocean Territory. This TLD is privately held at this time.

Early adopters in the technology industry started using .io domain as its abbreviation of a standard industry term “input/output.” Initially serving as the official country-code domain for a group of small islands and atolls known as the British Indian Ocean Territory, .io domains have become a staple in the tech startup culture. Internet users associate .io websites with the latest and greatest technology and software brands.

As a new Indian Ocean based frontier root domain that some technology firms may prefer in time over a “.com”, an .io domain is an alluring choice for technology startups for its geographic versatility, isolation and brevity. Teck based companies, driving the NFT and gaming marketplace are trending in aquiring a .io domain.

When it comes to domain names, the fewer characters the better. County-code domains like .io are always only two characters long, making them shorter and more memorable website addresses. Unlike some country code domains, however, you are not required to live in British Indian Ocean Territory to register .io domains. This may change.
